Department of International Law
The International Law Department is one of the components in the law curriculum at the faculty of law, which students can choose if they wish to specialize in international law. After completing foundational courses, students have the opportunity to select the International Law Division as their area of interest starting from the 6th semester, where they will prepare their final project in accordance with the study of International Law. The courses offered in this division include both mandatory specialized courses and elective courses.
Objectives of the International Law Department Specialization
The objective of this division is to enhance students' competencies in applying international law in various practical situations and to contribute significantly to legal practice both in society and globally. Students will deepen their understanding of various aspects of law that govern cross-border relations, as well as study issues such as sovereignty, jurisdiction, international dispute resolution, and humanitarian law.

Career Paths for Graduates from the International Law Division
With the knowledge gained from these courses, students are expected to pursue careers in international organizations such as the United Nations (UN) or non-governmental organizations (NGOs), where they can contribute to issues such as peace, international security, and human rights. Additionally, they may work as international legal practitioners in international law firms, handling cross-border disputes, human rights issues, or arbitration. They could also become diplomats or consuls, representing their country in foreign relations and international negotiations. Graduates can also take on roles as international legal consultants, providing legal advice to international organizations, multinational companies, or governments on global issues. They may engage in academia, becoming researchers or lecturers at universities, or work in the public sector, contributing to the formulation of legal policies and foreign diplomacy, as well as serving as lawyers or legal consultants focused on international legal issues.
