Bandar Lampung, September 7, 2018 – The Faculty of Law, University of Lampung (FH Unila) successfully organized the International Conference on Fundamental Rights (I-COFFEES) 2018. This event marked a historic milestone for FH Unila, as it was the first time an international seminar hosted by the faculty featured foreign speakers.
The seminar was held with the aim of providing a platform for academics, researchers, and legal practitioners to discuss and exchange ideas on fundamental rights in various legal aspects. This year, I-COFFEES covered 12 sub-themes related to fundamental rights, with a total of 128 papers received by the committee, of which 63 were presented at the conference.
Some of the keynote speakers at I-COFFEES 2018 included Prof. Yushiro Kusano, Dr. Kyaw Nyi Nyi, Ph.D., MHRD, MSc., Prof. Dr. M. Idriss Fassasi, LL.M., Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D., and Prof. Muhammad Akib. The presence of these international scholars added significant value to the event, attracting participants from various institutions both domestically and internationally.
The Chair of the Committee, Dr. Rudi Natamiharja, S.H., DEA., expressed his appreciation to all participants and speakers who contributed to the success of the conference. He hopes that I-COFFEES will become an annual agenda that continues to grow and benefit the academic community as well as society at large.
“We are very proud to present I-COFFEES 2018 as a forum for knowledge exchange and experience sharing at an international level. We hope this event will continue in the coming years with a broader scope and increasing participation,” said Dr. Rudi Natamiharja.
The success of I-COFFEES 2018 was made possible through the support of various parties, including the organizing team consisting of FH Unila academics and staff, as well as all participants who actively engaged in discussions and presentations.
With the implementation of this international seminar, FH Unila further strengthens its role as a leading center for legal studies actively engaged in global academic discussions.
