Bachelor of Law

Graduate Profile:

Graduates from the Bachelor of Law study program will have the competency to enter the working industry as:

  1. Judge: The graduate is able to identify whether an incident constitutes an unlawful act, explore the legal values ​​inherent in society, and have a progressive perspective in adjudicating a case, ultimately resulting in the fairest possible verdict.
  2. Prosecutor: The graduate is capable of advocating for the legal interests of the state, society, and victims of criminal, civil, and administrative cases in court through drafting an indictment that meets the material and formal requirements stipulated in criminal procedure law and acting as a state attorney.
  3. Advocate: The graduate is able to provide legal services, both in and out of court, who meets the requirements and acts based on the Advocate Law.
  4. Legal Consultant: The graduate is able to provide legal advice and legal opinions regarding actions or legal matters that will be or have been carried out by clients and resolve legal issues faced by clients outside the court.
  5. Notary: A public official authorized by the state to draw up authentic deeds regarding all acts, agreements, and stipulations required by laws and/or desired by interested parties to be stated in authentic deeds; guarantee the certainty of the date of making the deed; keep the deed; and provide grosse, copies, and excerpts of the deed, as long as the making of the deeds is not also assigned or excepted to other officials or persons as stipulated by law.
  6. Arbiter: A person capable of resolving civil disputes outside the general court based on an arbitration agreement stated in a written contract by the disputing parties.
  7. Lawmaker: The graduate is able to draft legislation, both in terms of format and substance.
  8. Legal Researcher: The graduate is able to conduct legal studies or research, both in the form of basic and applied research.
  9. Court Registrar: The graduate possesses the ability to carry out some of the duties of the courts (General, Administrative, Religious) in the field of registry, including civil, criminal, and legal registries in District Courts, as well as registries in Administrative and Religious courts.

Curicullum:

The curriculum used by the Bachelor of Law study program has complied with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the National Standard for Higher Education (SN Dikti). The curriculum also integrated the Student-Centered Learning (SCL) process and follows the outcome-based approach to learning activities.

In each semester, students are able to take up to a maximum of 24 SKS credits, which is the equivalent of 38.4 ECTS. The title of “Sarjana Hukum” (S.H) will be granted to students that have finished at least 144 SKS credits / 230.4 ECTS credits that comprise every university compulsory course, every faculty compulsory course, and several of the elective courses and have already finished all of their final thesis process, comprised of the final thesis proposal seminar and final thesis seminar, and passed the comprehensive exam of their thesis.
